3 month natural dye materials subscription

introducing a whole new subscription that i’m very excited about - a subscription for bi-weekly natural dye plants!

starting in the late spring and going through late summer, you’ll receive bunches every other week of plant materials grown by us, curated to produce a certain color each time. for example, one week you may receive tasselflower, marigold, and sulfer cosmos. this will give you a beautiful batch of orange dye, which can also be played around with and split into batches of varying ph levels or mordants, giving you a whole range of colors.

you can also use the plants to do eco prints on fabric and paper, dye bundles with steam, plant paint, and more. no need to use them right away, either - these will all dry well when hung upside down.

other plants will include, but will not be limited to:

amaranth, celosia, sunflower, hibiscus, calendula, marigold, dyer’s coreopsis, scabiosa, japanese indigo, woad, madder, rudbeckia, black eyed susan, hollyhock, yarrow, alkanet, dyer’s chamomile, weld, and more.

i will also send you some of my favorite resources on natural dye/eco-printing/etc, links to relevant materials such as mordants, and tips i’ve learned through experimenting on my own.

local pickup will be available from a convenient location in east rock. this subscription is also available to be shipped in dried plant form - just enter your address info at checkout.
